Oh, where to begin? I'll start with Mack (since I forgot to do the Mack Update in my last post):
Mack is starting to say just about anything we say now - it's pretty fun to hear him repeat some words (however, there are some that I wish he wouldn't repeat). Just yesterday, he surprised me with "horse" when he saw a picture of one in his book, and last week he pointed to his bum and said "poo" when he had a dirty diaper (yes, I laughed - I'm sure you're not surprised). He's saying something new just about everyday, so I've stopped writing things down. Though, I do have some written down that he said in early January, so I'll go ahead and document those:
"Bite"
"Bum Bum"
"Col" for Cold
"Eewww, gross" said while pointing to his dirty diaper
"Goggy" for Doggy
"Juice"
"Yeah"
"Nice"
"Tree"
"Dance"
Lately, his favorite thing to say is "uh-0h, mess" whenever he makes a mess. He also loves to get the broom out and sweep, and if there is a mess on the carpet, he'll run to the vaccuum and whine at me until I get it out and vaccuum it up. This has made keeping the house somewhat clean a lot easier. Here are a few pictures from January:
Apparently, this mixing bowl made the perfect size seat.
Drawing while Mom puts away groceries (Kolby & Janine that is your wedding invitation he's doodling on - sorry!).
Speaking of Kolby & Janine, Kolby is my brother who is just younger than me in age, and he was married to Janine on January 10th. It's really been fun to see Kolby so happy and to have Janine as part of the family. Here are a few pictures I stole from my sister-in-law, Michelle:
The happy couple.
Almost the whole family (my older brother Clay and his family are living in Maryland and couldn't make it, and my younger brother Kasey is on his mission in Philidelphia).
Here are all the sisters/sisters-in-law in the family except Allison (Clay's wife). Don't ask me why they made me, the huge pregnant woman, stand in front. Stephanie (Kayden's wife) in front with me is also pregnant and due in May with their first, and behind me Ashley is pregnant, but has since had her beautiful little girl, Layla, on January 14th, I believe. We also found out on Superbowl Sunday that Kolby and Janine are expecting a honeymoon baby. My mom will gain at least 4 grandchildren this year alone. Also, Janine has two cute kids, Bela and Talin, from a previous marriage that are now part of the family. Crazy. This has to be the longest caption to a picture ever.
Also in January I celebrated my 28th birthday. Mack and I spent the morning at the park, Gregg came home from work early and brought me some beautiful flowers, Gregg and I went out for a steak dinner, and we finished up with an icecream cake. It was a really great day. I took a few pictures of the flowers:

(Sorry for the weird angles on these - I was trying to make it so my messy house wasn't in the shot.)A few weeks ago, I was going through some boxes of stuff in preparation for the baby, and I found a box with some old pictures in it! So, in honor of my birthday and as my gift to you, here are a few shots of me as a wee little tyke:

Kolby and me. I remember absolutely loving my Miss Piggy shirt.
Clint standing behind the rocker, Clay (yes, they're twins) holding baby Kayden in the rocker, and Kolby and I on either side. That's all I've got for now, but we have the new baby's birthday scheduled for March 3rd (c-section), Gregg's birthday on March 12th, and Mack's birthday on April 9th all coming up, so hopefully I'll do better with posting about those in a more timely manner.

thanks shell! love ya girl and loved those sweet little pics of you!
As usual, the pictures are great! I love the Mack updates! I especially loved the old pictures. Clay said that that picture was about the same age that Dallan is now. That is weird!
We love you! I am making you a blanket for the baby, but it is taking me a long time because I am still not done with the one for Layla. So, it will be late!
Looking forward to another March birthday!!! Do you have a name yet?
We're so excited for you! It's neat to hear what Mack is saying, Kayda isn't much of a talker yet. Is it a c-section by choice? We didn't know you were having one. Few words of wisdom, no matter how good you think you feel do NOT push yourself until your 8 weeks is up! I did (since Dillon was in the hospital)and I had sharp pains across my incision until 6 weeks after I had him! I hope it goes well for you and we're excited for picks!
THANK YOU for sharing those!! I love it! I laughed when you said "this has to be the longest caption to a picture ever.." funny! When are we going to the park again?! My kids always ask if "Shell" is coming.
Bec - love you too sis, and maybe I'll see you at music time tomorrow - the up and down of it all is starting to get a little difficult for me! :)
Al - I'm looking forward to the blanket and thanks for doing that! We haven't settled on a name yet, we have about three or four that we're going back and forth on. Guess we better decide soon - he'll be here two weeks from today!
Megan - I had a c-section with Mack and decided I was too scared of the risks involved with a VBAC, and my doctor discourages it anyway. Thanks for your words of advice. My recovery with Mack was really easy, but I'm sure I won't have it so easy this time with a toddler to chase around.
Shannon - If the weather is good, they'll probably get together this Friday (they usually do it the 1st & 3rd Fridays of the month). I'll text Becca and let you know!
You have been busy! I love when you can finally understand what the kids are saying! He's so cute! You have less than 2 weeks for the baby! Do you have a name yet? Let me know if you need anything!
Mack is getting so big... and he will seem so much older here in a few weeks when the baby is here. Even though I have temporally given up on blogging for myself, I still enjoy catching up on yours. You look great- really not very big in the wedding shot. Also, did you have red hair as a baby? It kind of looks that way. Cute, cute!
O Im so glad that you posted. I guess I should get on that some day! Love hte pictures of you guys as kids, everyone looks so similar its great! Love the updates but I think there is one word that Mack learned that you left out...J/K
Very fun catching up! I'm proud of you for blogging! I loved seeing the pic of you as a teeny girl. So cute. I'm sure you're all getting very anxious to meet the new little one. It will be so fun to see who he looks like. I wonder if this one will be a blondy with blue eyes. It will be so to see!!! Good luck getting the next couple of weeks. It just seems like time nearly stands still when your eight and nine months pregnant.
I know you are going in for your c section soon, just wanted to wish you an easy recovery! Can't wait to meet your new little guy!
I love hearing about all the fun things Mack does! I loved the old pictures too!
I seriously cannot wait any longer to see that baby!!! I hope you are all doing well!!! Love you all.
