Last weekend we went to Boulder City to ride the Santa Train. It's a short ride (about 40 minutes) on a real train and Santa comes to each train car to greet the kids. We ended up in an outdoor car and it was a cold and windy day, but we still had a good time.
Here's my sister, Bec, in front of the engine... she didn't know I was taking a picture (sorry, Bec!).
Gregg took this picture just after we took off. That is my brother Kolby, his fiance Janine (wedding date is January 10th!), and her kids Bela and Talin. Mack wouldn't let me take the binky out of his mouth, so he is expressionless in all the pictures.
Here we are with Santa. Gregg was holding Mack, but as soon as Santa stood next to him, Mack freaked out.
A woman walking by kindly offered to take a picture of all of us... unfortunately, Mack looks a little stoned (disclaimer: I have never been stoned or around anyone who has been, so I may not know what I'm talking about).
I was going through some old pictures and saw this one from a past Christmas. This was Christmas 2005, so we were in Boston. My parents did the Twelve Days of Christmas for us that year, so we had lots of presents under our tree, and this must have been taken on Christmas Eve because I think we're both wearing pajama pants that Gregg's parents bought us that year. One day I hope to have that body back. Anyway, good times.**MACK UPDATE**
A few things I forgot to put on the last post are that Mack can now say and point to his eyes and nose. If I say mouth, hair, ears, or toes he'll point to them, but can't say them yet. He also learned to say "hoop" - as in basketball hoop.
Since the last post Mack learned how to jump and loves it. I don't think both feet quite make it off the ground at the same time, but he has a blast "jumping." He climbed all the way into his highchair by himself. Luckily, he hasn't learned how to climb out of his crib, yet. He has also learned to say apple and hat.
One night, Gregg and I wanted to start a movie before Mack's bed time, and didn't want to have to pause it every 5 minutes, so we made Mack his own little movie theater complete with a bowl of popcorn. He enjoyed a 30 minute Elmo movie, and gave it a thumbs up.

The train ride looked like alot of fun. And I love Macks little "movie theater." Thats really a good idea.
I wish we could've gone with you guys on the santa train. It looked like a fun day. The pictures of all of you look great. I Love Mack's little "movie theater" too. He looks so much older sitting there. What a doll! Can't wait to see the new little guy!! :)
I would love to ride on a train and see Santa and so would Saige, how fun!!! Also I love the little tent what a good idea, although Saige is really into narrating movies for Patrick and I so she would still be talking.
