My Dream Boy

I had a dream last night that I had the baby and it was a boy. Just wanted to post this on the blog to cover my bases just in case the "girl" feelings I had a month or so ago were just nausea/gas.

Also, here is a recent picture of Mack.

He loves this bear and calls it "beebee". It and the blanket go everywhere he goes, and he gets upset when I make him leave it in the car when we're going to the store. I haven't been good about posting when he learns a new word or does something new, and I love reading about new things the kids are doing on my friend's and family's blogs, so here are some of the words in Mack's vocabulary right now:

- Daddy or Da Da
- Bee-bee (for baby, blankie, binky, belly button and blocks... I know, confusing)
- Poppy (popcorn, he puts the emphasis on the -py at the end (pah-PEE))
- Cheese
- Uh-Oh
- Num Num (when he's hungry)
- Mmmm
- What's this? (seriously, it is the cutest to thing to hear him say)
- Where is it? (when he's looking for something... okay this might be in the running for the cutest)
- Vroom Vroom (when he's playing with his cars or with his farm animals for some reason (I think he has "moo" and "vroom" mixed up)
- Weeee (when he goes down the slide or gets pushed on the swing)
- Shoes
- Pee-pee (no, he's not potty trained, so I'm sure you can guess what this word is for)
- Bathy
- Boon (for balloon)
- Whoa!
- Ball (in addition to any ball/circle he sees, he also says this whenever he sees a basketball hoop... Gregg is so proud)

I'm sure I'm forgetting some. He recently learned how to say "no", and he says it in response to any question you ask him even if he means yes. So, me being the childish person I am of course had to ask him, "Do you want a million dollars?" He also shakes his head from side to side sometimes when he says it. He seems to understand a lot of words that he hasn't yet attempted to speak. He's been dancing for a while, but just started getting his arms into it - he use to just bounce. It's very rare, but sometimes he'll give kisses if I ask him to. One time he came up and gave me a kiss and a hug without me saying anything... yes, I teared up. Right now, he's pulling on my pants and whining so that I'll come play with him instead of blogging, so I guess I better go!

Oh, one more. He can say bye bye and he says "bye bye pee pee" whenever I put a diaper on him.

i LOVE hearing about all the cute things he says and does! i dont see/hear it cuz he's too shy around me. i'll keep working on him and giving him cookies and he will come around! :) i love little macky! there is nothing better than an unexpected hug and/or kiss from your kids! a random "i love you" is awesome too. z just barely started saying "love you" and giving kisses. he gives them all to dad and teases me about it. he does let me kiss his ducky quack quack and he always kisses it too when i am done :)

He's quite the talker! Kayda has sounds she uses for multiple things too. Kisses are my favorite and I ask for them at every opportunity so I TOTALLY understand the emotions from having babies give them to you without the request!

Ha ha that is too cute. I love this stage. I was telling Justin the other day that this has to be my favorite age. When they are learning so much and trying so hard to communicate. I love it.

I deleted my last comment because there were just too many errors. Here is my "corrected" comment.

That is so cute. I can almost hear him. Jenn is right...this is the best age. Ryan is a little older, but I am still enjoying the same stuff. Ryan says some of the same things that Mack says. One thing that I always laugh at is that when I call him, he looks all determined and says "coming". He also says "I am" with a little attitude when I tell him to do something. And he also says no to everything.
I can't wait to see Mack in person. What a cutie!!!!!

Thanks for the update... it's sad that we don't get to see him enought to know how big he's getting, so that was much better than nothing. He is too stinkin cute! I love the pic of him with his hand on his belly in the brite green shirt along the side column... love it.
As for the sex of #2... there are pros to both sexes. First if its a boy... they will be the best of buddies, and when Mack is 4 he won't bug you everyday for a baby brother, and ask that that he could trade someone his sister for a brother. Also it's cheaper because you already have boy stuff, and lets face it... boys are cheaper. But if you have a girl, you don't have to stress that you won't ever have a little girl, and you can dress them up, play dolls with them, comb their hair (not always pleasant BTW)and I could go on and on... I absolutely adore the fact that I have both, but sometimes think it would have been easier to have two boys than two girls... as if I had control of it. Good luck tomorrow with the ultra sound... let us know asap!

He is soooo cute!!! You are so good at keeping track of things like that! Every time I have gone in for my kids Doctor appts, he always asks, "So what are some words she/he is saying?" My first reaction is usually "CRAP!!" Oh well! Uumm...it's 10:45pm on Thursday and I haven't read anything about the gender. I'll check in the morning! Can't wait!!!!

Hey, "pee pee" is better than "weiner" like my husband taught my boys! It's so fun to see what you're up to! Congrats on baby boy #2; boys are so fun!!!
